We are currently conducting a research study that investigates how people with vision loss go about their daily life. The study is conducted at Durham University under supervision of Doctor Lore Thaler, Department of Psychology, Durham University, Durham, UK, Telephone UK: 01913343290, E-mail lore.thaler@durham.ac.uk.The research has been given advisory approval by the Applied Psychology Ethics Committee in the Department of Psychology at Durham University
The purpose of this research is to find out what influences the independence of people with vision loss in their daily life. To investigate this, we ask participants to complete a questionnaire that has 45 questions. The questions range from basic personal questions (i.e. age, gender), to questions about vision loss, education, work, mobility or social life. It may take up to 30 minutes to answer all the questions. We do not collect any identifiable information about participants.
