'Thanks you all so much! Project VIP was absolutely brilliant. I feel thoroughly boosted up, happy and ready to go. I felt absolutely great when I walked out of the salon holding my posh bags and with my fun new make-up and hair. And it was great to see how happy and excited the other girls were too.
I really did feel that it was one of the most positive environments I’ve ever been in. Thank you for your time, skills, advice, guidance and support – it is very much appreciated'.

'If there was a "Blind in Business" for every disadvantaged group we'd have a lot less unemployment in the UK. Blind in Business gave me the support to get through the Fast Stream process. As a result I'm now on my way to senior government'.

'Thank you for giving me the opportunity to find out what i can do in the world of work. The day really helped me to see what I can do even though i am partially sighted. I thought the setting for the event couldn't have been better and Dad and I really enjoyed the bank of England. The talks were interesting and I really enjoyed doing the trading game. it was nice to meet others with the same problems as me.'

'When i lost my sight, I contacted Blind in Business, who encouraged me to consider my future options, with specific focuson careers. e The first event of their that i too part in was Speed Recruitment where 20 leading firms came to interview candidates - it was like Speed Dating - so good fun! Through this event, BiB showed me that it was still possible for me to have a fantastic and rewarding career'

'My name is Simon and I am totally blind.
I just wanted to say that I love your website and how everything is laid out.
Also and more importantly, when I left school all those years ago, I never had any person or persons who could have provided the information and support that you are now providing for blind and partially sighted school leavers.
I didn't have a clue what I would do when I left school and because I went to an independent school, there wasn't a lot of encouragement for me to go out to work.
Now I read that you provide this essential service, I am relieved and happy that you provide what was sadly missing for me.
I wish you all the very best and great success and I know, that your service will be priceless to young children leaving school who are in the same position I found myself in 25 years ago.
Well done and keep up the good work.'
Tracey Blower - Civil Service Fast Stream
'Blind in Business have always provided the Civil Service Fast Stream and their candidates with a First Class service and i would have no hesitiation recommending them to any organisation requiring their services'
Karen Green - Tesco
'Blind in Buisness has been a great support, always being flexible their approach and on hand to answer questions and provide training that enable us to do the best for our employees in.
In September 2007, Alex James joined Tesco on our Accelarated Graduate Scheme. Alex came through the shared graduate recruitment channel, completing a structered interview and assessment centre.Having never run a recruitment campaign that included a visually impaired candidate, I found Blind in Business to be both practical and supportive in making adaptations to the recruitment process.
The high level of service has continued now Alex is an employee, with Blind in Business providing awareness training for our managers and other graduates to build their confidence.
Over and above all this support, its the personal relationship I feel I have with Blind in Business that I now value the most'.

'I would like to thank you for running the "Future in Focus" courses at our school. When our rooms are back in action next year, we could look at running a different course.
We enjoyed seeing our ex-pupils and catching up with what they are now doing and I think they probably got far more out of the day than our young pupils.
Going into more detail on the structure of the day:
To begin with, you established a good rapport with the participants and found out what ideas they had come with in an excellent way. Next came the competencies required for jobs and extending their ideas about jobs and where to look for them. I think some of the younger ones probably did not understand some of this probably because of their more limited vocabulary and experience.
The interviews were a valuable experience for all of them and you overcame the reluctance of some of them very well. I think the group size for the younger ones was critical in that you were on the limit of the time they could concentrate on listening to the interviews of others. I found it very interesting to observe how the pupils managed their interview.
The afternoon activities, Space Game and Access to Work were well-chosen. I was fascinated by observing the participants behaviour in the Space Game and I also felt it was a valuable learning experience for all of them especially with the feedback provided afterwards'.

'On behalf of my colleague at Midlands Peripatetic Teachers for the Visually Impaired, could I thank you for the presentation you gave to us at our meeting recently.
It was both useful and interesting to hear about ‘Blind in Business’ and the courses they can offer to students with visual impairments.
These courses sound very innovative and I know our authority are hoping to contact you in the future to plan a course for students and parents.
I hope you enjoyed meeting other teachers in our organisation and that you have made some useful contacts for the future.
Many thanks again for your lively and informative presentation and I look forward to meeting you again. I am sure that adults with visual impairments like yourself will be an excellent role model for our students'.

'I have been looking at the website for Blind in Business and just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the work that you are doing. As a lecturer, I am always keen to know what services are available to potential students and I am glad to read of the training courses you offer teenagers'.
